Canford School Council (CSC)

Chaired by the Heads of School, the CSC meets three times per term and is attended by junior and senior representatives from every house (day and boarding). The Deputy Head (Pastoral) attends and other members of staff are invited to attend depending on matters to be discussed.   Any member of school can forward an agenda item; a typical meeting will discuss issues such as uniform improvements, security arrangements and ICT equipment.   Requests and ideas are minuted and forwarded to the relevant department or staff (e.g. Headmaster or Bursar) for approval or response.   Minutes are posted on house boards for pupils and the Common Room board for staff to view.
