Throughout the season our 1XV Captain, Matt Donnelly, has been training with London Irish U19 Elite Player Development Group and playing for their senior 2XV. He has played in matches against Saracens and Bath to name only two.

From these efforts he was selected for the England U18's Academies team and played against the French equivalent in Paris. Earlier in the same week he played for the London Academies team against the full French U19 squad. The features of Matt's game that make him a formidable force are his aggressive play in contact, his high level of aerobic fitness and his drive to succeed. He hopes to go on and make a career out of rugby alongside his university studies.

Tom Jenvey represented Great Britain in Toronto at an international indoor tournament on the weekend of the 3-4th of December. He played goalkeeper for one of the two parallel GB teams that played and ended up losing 2-1 in the final to the other GB team! He hopes to be selected again in the summer when the team visits Ireland to play outdoors.
