On Thursday 26th January the short "Maths in..." series began with a lecture by David Acheson. He is a mathematician, writer and guitarist, based at Jesus College, Oxford. David chose his eight favourite 'bits of maths' and used the choice to offer a personal view of why maths is fun, even 'for its own sake'.
