There were celebrations at Canford this weekend with the U14 girls' hockey team winning the title of Dorset County Champions. After winning their group matches against St Mary's School, Sherborne and Clayesmore, Canford's team moved up to the semi finals where they faced Leweston. A lively and challenging match, Canford's girls won 2-1, setting them up for the final against Bryanston School. This was a very closely fought final with both sides stepping up their game. After extra time and penalties Canford emerged winners by 4 - 3 in sudden death penalties. They now go on to compete at the West of England Tournament on November 18th in Bristol. Well done to the team and coaches.
