Netball v Bryanston
Canford 1st VII 32 - 22 Bryanston
The buzz that was created last week with the first team's good win over Marlborough appears to have become infectious. At training this week all sides have worked hard and enjoyed the energy that appears to running through all teams. I am delighted to say that this manifested itself with an impressive set of results this Saturday against local rivals Bryanston. The first team once again, showed that they are very quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with, producing a brand of flowing 'total' netball that our two opponents thus far have struggled to live with.
Pleasing results for the 2nds, 15As (who are the team that have improved the most thus far this season), with the U14As and U14Bs beginning their season's results table with convincing wins. The 16As once again showed an ability to play well in patches, but need to convert more of their chances, whilst the 16Bs dominated their first game of the season to win well. Overall, a very pleasing weekend.

Netball v Marlborough
1st VII 26 - 22 Marlborough
An outstanding team performance sees the first team win against a Marlborough side that has qualified for the regional finals. Their 26 - 22 win was a credit to all - a remarkable first weekend. With minimal preparation due to poor weather conditions, all the girls should be pleased with their efforts in a very tough opening fixture. The thirds were the only other side to win - by the narrowest of margins; with both the 2nds and the 14b's losing by one and the 16A's and 14A's only going down by two. However, it is the 15A's who have made the most pleasing start, their 21 - 28 loss was a huge improvement on the result last year.
