Canford's Heads of School get involved for World Book Day

It's World Book Day on 2nd March and at Canford the Heads of School are preparing to spread the word by sending a book recommendation postcard.
To celebrate this year's theme, Happy Endings, the library is holding a 'Happy Ever After' party for Canford's top library users, with food, quizes, prizes and a chance to vote for the best happy ending of all time.

On 8th February Mrs Linda Guest, the South West region representative for the UK Independence Party, visits Canford as a guest speaker for pupils.

U10 Prep Cricket Tournament 2008
On Sunday 8 June, six teams competed for the 2008 Canford School U10
cricket trophy. In glorious sunshine and to the cheers of their
traveling supporters, Sandroyd and Twyford emerged undefeated from the
opening rounds to meet in the final.

Cross Channel Row
Sixth Former Christopher Shepheard-Walwyn, crossed the Channel in a single scull (one man rowing boat) on Tuesday 10th June in an amazing 3 hours 45 mins and 4 seconds, in aid of charity.

Success at the Wessex Junior Regatta
After the disappointment of the National Schools' Regatta being abandoned recently due to poor weather, the Canford rowers were looking forward to the Wessex Junior Regatta, held annually at Bryanston, with the opportunity to come away with some prizes.
