Canford Wins First Place in Lulworth Triathlon

Two Canfordians and one of our teachers recently teamed up to enter The Lulworth Triathlon.

The Lulworth Triathlon is held in one of the most beautiful parts of England, on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. It involves a 500m swim across the world famous Lulworth Cove, a 20km cycle through countryside villages and a 10km run through ancient park and woodland in aid of the RNLI charity.   It is intended to be a fun but challenging exercise for all involved and also to raise much needed funds for the RNLI, a charity which has saved over 137,000 lives at sea since it was founded in 1824.

'Team Hobbs' consisted of Housemaster and teacher Andrew Hobbs, Lower Sixth Former Rob Clark, who undertook the cycling part of the challenge, and Shell pupil Ben Chapple, who completed the run, and was announced as the fastest runner of the day.

Well done to all three for achieving a great result for such a worthy cause.
