Cape Farewell Artic Expedition

After a summer of incredible hard work, interviews and workshops, Noni Heal has been chosen to represent Canford on Cape Farewell's first student artic voyage.  Cape Farewell brings together artists, scientists and educators collectively to raise and address issues about climate change.

Noni, who will be in the 4th Form when she departs for her 10 day voyage in September, has been selected from a considerable number who applied.  She will join pupils from schools in the UK, Germany and Canada.  The final selection of participants took place in the newly renovated South Bank Centre, which will also be the venue for the expedition launch and for future exhibitions.

Noni will be updating her blog each day during her voyage and also giving presentations and talks both before and after the event.  She is currently hard at work seeking sponsorship for the trip and generating as much publicity as possible for her amazing journey to the high artic.
