The Shell and Fourth form art, drama and music
scholars have been working hard over the first two weeks of term to put
together some work based on the theme 'natural change'. Inspiration for
the artists came from the beautiful surroundings of the Park at
Canford, with some stunning paintings of the trees at various stages of
their changing.The musicians and actors had an imaginative spin on
this theme, with performances of Elgar's 'Chanson de Nuit' and 'Chanson
de Matin' and Shakespeare's 'The Seven ages of man' amongst the items
on the programme. The event took place in the Layard Theatre, with the
artwork projected onto the backdrop while the performance took place.
The talents on show were considerable, and there is much to look
forward to in Canford's creative arts over the coming years.
