During the Easter Holidays, a group of Canfordians set off for Cádiz,
this year's destination for the Junior Spanish trip. The group had a
very full week with highlights including the visit to the sherry bodega
in Jerez, flamenco dance lessons, the tapas evening, an afternoon on
the beach, chocolate con churros and a trip to Seville.
All
the Canford pupils seized the chance to speak as much Spanish as
possible from the outset and immersed themselves completely in the
culture. They stayed with host families where they all received a
wonderfully warm welcome and everyone’s Spanish has improved
noticeably. In fact their language school teachers said they were a
delight to teach and that they would have loved to have had them for a
year as they were so willingly to participate in any activity!
