Summary of Canford's Rugby: Autumn Term 2009

Rugby Summary - Autumn Term 2009  (taken from Rugby World magazine)

Canford enjoyed clear wins over King's Taunton (31-7), Lord Wandsworth (33-0), Downside (53-0) and Taunton (38-3) but had to fight hard to draw 7-7 at King's Bruton and edge Bishop Wordsworth 5-3.

Their unbeaten run stopped at Sherborne (lost 14-12), but they recovered to beat Marlborough 14-0 and Portsmouth GS 34-3.  The team is lead by rampaging flanker James Stephenson who, along with full-back Jonny Michael, has recently notched up a 30th start for the XV.  Lock Jack Tredrea has bossed the lineout whilst scrum-half Bruce Fulton and centre Albert Bridges have been models of consistency.
