Canford junior golfers competed against Radley, Wellington and Bradfield in the ‘Junior 9s’ competition, hosted this year on the Radley course. The annual competition, started by Canford, is between these four schools, each of which has its own golf course.
The Canford players put in a steady performance on the course and came third. They came second in the rules quiz section and were excellent ambassadors for golf and for Canford.

Start Time Event Event Type Athletics: County Combined Rowing: Dorney Junior Regatta - GB Representatives... Swanage and Wareham 7's tournament
We took a mixed of group of junior Canfordians to the Swanage and Wareham RFC 7’s tournament for the first time and it proved to be a useful day out. Fielding 8 shells and 4 Junior Colts Canford managed third place in the round robin tournament against rugby clubs from the local area. Despite a slow start against Bridport II (eventual runners up) losing 5-12 Canford soon got into gear winning the next three games 28-0, 40-0 and 40-7 vs. Blandford, Oakmedians and Bridport I before coming up against the pace and power of Sherborne RFC. Canford needed to win to have any chance of medals and sadly the older lads' extra size and pace did for them in this game losing 5-27. Happily they dusted themselves off to finish well against another physical side in the form of S&W RFC running out 19-5 winners. Considering most of the boys have not laced a boot in anger for a few months it was a very creditable display particularly when two thirds of the squad were a year young. Every member of the squad made telling contributions but Thomas McNeile and Ollie Dunger each put in excellent displays.

3rd Pair (Hannah Trafford and Molly Crawford) lost all three of their matches. They lost 6-1 to both the first and second pair and 6-3 against the third pair.

On a hot and sunny April afternoon, Canford ‘B’ team golfers defeated Milton Abbey golf team 3-0.
Playing on our own course, the top pairing of Bell and Doherty won 1 up on the last hole.
Canford’s second pairing of Wells and Hargreaves won the most comprehensively by 5&4.
The school’s third pairing comprised Micklewright and Shell boy Charlie Jones who secured their victory by 2 up at the end.
Once again, Canford’s golf looks strong in depth at sixth form level and with the junior intake.
A great match and a pleasing result.
