Franklin

Franklin is one of Canford’s three original houses.   A boys’ boarding house, it was based in the main Manor House until 1987, when it moved to its current position in the south west of the grounds where it overlooks playing fields and lies next to the school’s second Astroturf pitch.

Franklin was extensively refurbished in 2006/7 to provide expanded social areas and improved study bedrooms.

    Henry Bishop has been Housemaster since September 2008. He joined Canford in 2003 after a career in finance and consulting. He is involved in school sport, adventure training with the CCF and was previously Head of Mathematics. Henry is married to Pagan and they have three sons.
