Modern Languages

Canford's Modern Languages department offers its pupils a range of language learning opportunities. French, Spanish and German are the languages taught in the curriculum at IGCSE, A-level and Pre-U. Each pupil must take one language to at least IGCSE, but many take two languages at both IGCSE and A-level/Pre-U.

In addition, an increasing number of pupils have also been learning and/or taking GCSEs and A-levels in Chinese, Italian, Polish and Russian outside the curriculum in recent years.
