Shell Enterprise trip to Brownsea Island

May 2011

115 intrepid Shells and 13 brave staff left the mainland to spend 24 hours on beautiful Brownsea Island as part of Canford's Enterprises initiative.

Brownsea is a National Trust site and only recently allowed schools to stay on the island.    The camp was enjoyed by all with activities including tent craft, a Canford's Got Talent' competition (winners - de Lacy), an unforgettable sunset and sunrise, mental and physical problem solving, two ropes courses (winners - Beaufort and a fact-finding mission (winners - Monteacute).  Brownsea has a wide variety of flora and fauna and the Canford group were joined by peacocks and red squirrels during their trip.

Many thanks to all the staff for such a memorable expedition.
