Thames Ditton Regatta

Saturday 18th May

Ian Dryden, Chief coach, has now confirmed the crew and times that they are rowing (whether they also row at other times will depend upon their progress to the next round). Sarah will be coordinating the crocodiles effort on Saturday and bringing sausages for BBQ. Any additional brownies, sausage rolls etc from parents will be very welcome as always. The rowers are provided with packed lunch and breakfast, as appropriate by the school so the Crocodiles offerings are a welcome addition.

Please see below links for the event and what crew your child is in. It is worth double checking with them at the end of the week as there are sometimes last minute changes. Looking at the regatta web site parking is in the surrounding streets so be prepared to walk a bit. Hope to see as many parents as possible on Saturday and a particular welcome to shell parents.

Maidenhead Regatta

Sunday 19th May

Canford are taking four crews of Shells girls and one crew of Fourth Form girls to this event. The crew lists are below.

I hope that many of you will be able to come to Maidenhead to support. I’ll be there to co-ordinate support for the Crocodiles. We will provide teas & coffees to parents, but more importantly, we will be cooking sausages and/or burgers on the barbecue for the girls when they’ve finished rowing. We also ask parents to bring along a plate of goodies if they can – brownies, flapjacks, etc. The school provide packed lunches, but it’s great to be able to give the crews something extra – they deserve it!

The link below to the regatta website gives details of where to park, map of the course, etc. The crew names and when their first race will be are also below. I hope to see many of you there and please email me beforehand or phone on the day if you are uncertain of anything.
