Canford is delighted to once again be hosting its 3-day Easter Sports Academy and 4-day Summer Sports Academy. Led by the school’s own sports coaches and visiting coaching staff and making use of the exceptional sporting facilities among 250 acres of grounds, Canford is the perfect setting for children to develop their sporting, teamwork and leadership skills.
The Easter Sports Academy will run from Monday 7th - Wednesday 9th April 2025 for Years 5 - 8, with a choice of Cricket, Golf and Multi-sports on offer.
This summer, there are two course options to choose from – a Specialist Sports Academy for those in current Years 5 - 10 and a Multi Sports Course for current Years 5 - 7. These will run from Monday 11th – Thursday 14th August 2025.
The Specialist Sports Academy allows pupils to focus on developing their skills in a particular sport – this year a choice of Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Rowing, Football and Golf. As well as dedicated coaching sessions, during the four days they will also have the chance to take part in additional sports activities.
Meanwhile, the Multi-Sports Course will be offering the chance to take part in a range of different activities each day making use of the school’s facilities such as the climbing wall and indoor pool. There will be a number of activities on offer each day plus a sport session.
Course fees include lunch each day, snacks and refreshments.
