Canford's Centenary Year

Canford's Centenary Year

2023 is a historic year for Canford as the school celebrates its Centenary.  Our main celebrations will be held during the second half of this academic year to coincide with the Foundation date of 15th May with a whole school service in Salisbury Cathedral on Friday 28th April and a Proms in the Park style garden party on Sunday 25th June.

A page dedicated to our centenary year has been created on the school website where there is more information about booking for events and centenary merchandise. Limited edition prints by OC artist Anthony Eyton (B41) are now available to purchase and we are taking pre-orders for ‘Canford in 100 Objects’ which has been compiled by the school archivist. Please visit Canford Centenary to find out more.

The school will be sharing news across its digital channels throughout the celebrations using the hashtag #Canford100 and a centenary film premiered at the end of January.

Please follow the link below to Headmaster Ben Vessey’s introduction to the centenary year:

“The coming year will be particularly special for Canford.  We very much hope you will be able to join us at events which will bring the Canford Community together to both reminisce about times past and look forwards to the future.”
