Annual Confirmation Service

The annual confirmation service was held in Canford Magna Parish Church on Friday 2^nd May.

President and Preacher, The Right Reverend Robert Atwell, conducted the service alongside school chaplain Phil Jack. Readings were by Canford staff Al Tyndall and Jack Shannon, both active members of the school church community, with traditional hymns including ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Be Thou My Vision’’, ‘In Christ alone my hope is found’ and ‘Guide me, O thou great Redeemer’.  Twelve pupils were confirmed across all year groups.

A retiring collection was taken for the Sudan Appeal Fund and after the service families enjoyed a buffet lunch at Canford.

This annual service is always a very special day for the School as current Canfordians confirm their faith in the presence of their families and friends. In the beautiful surroundings of the Canford Magna Parish Church we were honoured to welcome the Right Reverend Robert Atwell who offered inspirational words for all the candidates. Many congratulations to this year’s confirmed pupils, Caspar, Ollie, Amelia, Sophie, Liv, Poppy, Molly, Verity, William, Hector, George and Fergus.
