Gordon's School Model United Nations Conference

Gordon's School Model United Nations Conference

Over the weekend of 2nd/3rd March 2024, ten Sixth Form Canfordians joined pupils from eight other schools for a Model United Nations Conference.

The Model United Nations is a Global Connections activity in which participants assume the role of national ambassadors to debate and seek to solve global issues. To be successful, delegates must construct and analyse resolutions, present their case to ensure their country's views are heard and work collaboratively.

Canford pupils represented Algeria and Ireland and Sarah Z was awarded outstanding delegate for Algeria on the Environment Committee. Nine resolutions were passed and thirty one amendments were made through our team of delegates.

Many congratulations to everyone involved in this excellent event, and thank you to Gordon’s School for hosting.
