Canford's next Open Morning will be held on Saturday 25th April 2026.
Canford School hosts two Open Mornings each year, in the Spring and Autumn terms, offering prospective families the opportunity to experience the school in action for those considering entry into Year 9 or Year 10, and for pupils looking to join the Sixth Form in Year 12.
Open Morning provides a valuable insight into daily life at Canford, with academic facilities and a boarding and day house open to visitors. Families hear from Headmaster Chris Wheeler, alongside a small group of pupils representing different year groups, who share their experiences of school life.
Each visiting family is offered an individual pupil-led tour, allowing them to tailor their visit to specific areas of interest, meet teaching staff within departments, and gain a true sense of the school community. The Admissions team is also available throughout the morning to provide guidance and answer questions about the application process.
The new Sixth Form College building is open and our Sixth Form specialist staff will be delighted to show you the new Hub facility. You can find out more about this exciting addition to our existing Sixth Form programme on the website via this link:

New boarding and day houses, a new library building and new expanded dining hall facilities have all opened too in the past couple of years and will be on the tour route at our open event.
Light refreshments will be offered throughout the morning and children are welcome to come along, with activities to try in a number of departments.
