Open Morning – Saturday 26th April 2025
New Headmaster and New Sixth Form College
Canford's next Open Morning will be held on Saturday 26th April 2025. We hold two Open Mornings each year, in Spring and Autumn, with separate events during the morning for those interested in Year 9 entry and for Sixth Form in Year 12. Open Morning is the chance to see the school on a working day when all the boarding houses and facilities are open to prospective families. Each family has an individual pupil guided tour so you can tailor your visit to the areas you want to see and chat to staff in departments, while our Admissions team will be on hand to answer any questions about applying to join the school.
There are a number of exciting new developments at Canford. A new Headmaster, Chris Wheeler*, is joining in September and you will have the chance to meet him at this Open Morning alongside current Headmaster Ben Vessey. A new Sixth Form College building is opening in March 2025 and our Assistant Head College and other Sixth Form specialist staff will be delighted to show you the new Hub facility. New boarding and day houses, a new library building and new expanded dining hall facilities have all opened too in the past couple of years and will be on the tour route at our open event.
Light refreshments will be offered throughout the morning and children are welcome to come along, with activities to try in a number of departments.
