The annual Trafalgar Night Dinner was held on Thursday 19th October in The Great Hall to celebrate the achievements of the Canford Combined Cadet Force (CCF). As ever it was a superb and very memorable evening, traditionally commemorating The Battle of Trafalgar on 21st October 1805. Attended by officers, cadet NCOs, and their parents it was a superb opportunity to look back over the previous 12 months. From team successes in the Rifles Cup and Pringle Trophy competitions to individual successes in Army Scholarships, there was much to take pride in.
The following cadets were promoted and awarded rank slides by Major Will Moreland:
Royal Navy Detachment: Ellie P and Sophia W promoted to Chief Petty Officer
Army Detachment: Abigail C, Henry L and Frederick B promoted to Colour Serjeant
Royal Marines: James H and Charlotte K promoted to Colour Sergeant and Jack F promoted to Corporal.
Many thanks to the catering team who provided us with such an enjoyable meal and to all those staff who made such a memorable evening for the cadets.
