Canford Artist Exhibiting at Major London Art Fair
Canford’s former Head of Art and current Housemaster Dylan Lloyd is proudly exhibiting a selection of his work at the BADA fair in Duke of York Square, Chelsea between 15th and 21st March, in conjunction with contemporary art specialists Long & Ryle. For over 20 years the fair has been the Spring highlight for the fine art, design and antiques community, showcasing beautiful objects of outstanding quality from 100 of the UK’s finest dealers.
Dylan first showed work with Long & Ryle last summer in their exhibition ‘Beauty is the Garden’ at their gallery in Pimlico. A selection was then taken to LAMPADA in Berkeley Square and 3 new paintings are on show this week at BADA in Duke of York Square, Chelsea. Two large scale canvases and a smaller framed piece are part of the ongoing garden series which is now in its 10th year, totalling around 180 pieces.
Dylan takes his inspiration from the beauty of the local area:
“The paintings are responses to my garden at Canford and at my house and studio on the Island of Portland as well as in the wonderful flower borders at Clarendon House in Salisbury. The association with pixilated photographs is important as it refers to a documentation of growth and change.”
Paintings from Dylan’s collection can also be seen at the Hybrid Gallery Honiton, Lion Street Gallery Hay on Wye, McAllister Thomas in Godalming and Corte Real in Paderne, Portugal. www.dylanlloyd.co.uk
