Pupils and staff have returned to Canford for the new academic year to a brand new library and Assembly Hall complex.
Easter Term 2021
While not the beginning of the Easter Term today that we were all hoping for, we are still very excited to welcome back everyone associated with Canford and look forward to a happy, stimulating and inspiring term. While pupils are initially learning remotely it is our greatest wish that everyone can be on campus together again as soon as we can. Until then, we can't wait to see all the creative ways in which our pupils and staff embrace the challenges ahead with the same courage, purpose and positivity they have shown throughout the past difficult year. This fantastic photo by Mr Salmon is a perfect example as we start 2021 together.
Headmaster Ben Vessey commented:
“The key ingredients in our remote offering last time were providing structure, giving a sense of purpose and ensuring a strong feeling of community connection. We will put big handfuls of all these ingredients into our programme for the coming weeks as Canford provides a high quality academic education supported by a stimulating co-curricular programme and a strong focus on pastoral care and wellbeing. I know we all crave a return to greater normality and the potential impact of the vaccine does offer some hope in this regard. In the meantime I know the Canford Community will stay strong and supportive and we will work together towards that brighter horizon.”
