GCSE Results 2020
Canfordians have received their GCSE results this morning. Grades have been awarded in line with the Government directives following its announcement on Monday. As with the A Level results for our leaving U6 last week, these grades reflect the significant talent, ability and consistent hard work of this impressive group of Canford pupils.
Headmaster Ben Vessey commented:
“These past months have been incredibly tough for all those due to sit GCSEs and A Levels this summer. The changing landscape as regards the awards process has only served to heighten the anxiety and stress for pupils, their families and teaching staff. I am extremely proud of our GCSE cohort and commend them for the courageous attitude and purposeful engagement they displayed in starting their A Level courses earlier than planned in the Summer Term.
As I said last week, our overriding aim remains to support all our pupils so they can move forwards positively with their lives. We will continue to provide whatever help we can for both our GCSE and A Level groups during this challenging time and I am very much looking forward to being able to congratulate our new Lower Sixth pupils on all their endeavours when the new term starts.”
Further information regarding our 2020 results and higher education outcomes will be published on the school website in due course.
