A Lacrosse morning took place on Saturday 4th November supported by the Friends of Canford School.
Canford sports mistress, Michelle Bray gave an excellent overview of the sport including the origins and development through to lacrosse in the UK and at Canford School today. After a round up of the rules and strategy, the teams were out on the pitch ready with their lacrosse sticks. Following a brief practice, a friendly match took place on half the pitch. Both novices and experienced players made up the teams, and everyone had a great time in the glorious sunshine!
Back at the Pavilion everyone gathered for a light lunch catered by the school and enjoyed time to chat before heading off to various Saturday sports fixtures. This Friends of Canford event is set to be a continuing feature in parent’s diaries in future. If you missed this one, look out for future dates in the Friends of Canford calendar!
