Old Canfordian performs solo at the Royal Albert Hall
We are all very proud of OC Grace Hewett (D19) who successfully auditioned for a place in the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain (NYCGB) during her final year at Canford. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra together with the NYCGB and the Royal Choral Society performed ‘Christmas Carols at the Royal Albert Hall’ from 21st to 24th December and as a member of the NYCGB, Grace performed in all nine concerts. Following a competitive audition process, Grace was selected to sing the solo ‘Once in Royal David’s City’ for one of the performances on Monday 23rd December. It's amazing to think Grace sang the same solo at Canford’s Carol Service 12 months earlier!
We wish Grace every continued success and enjoyment of her music
