Trafalgar Night Dinner 2019
Officers, cadet NCOs, parents and grandparents gathered once again in the Long Gallery and Great Hall for the Canford CCF annual Trafalgar Night Dinner on Tuesday 15th October. As ever it was a superb and very memorable evening, traditionally commemorating The Battle of Trafalgar on 21st October 1805. The dinner and drinks were complemented by a fine speech from Matt Shuttleworth who wrote and presented an account of the famous conflict.
The following cadets were promoted:
Royal Navy Section
- Matthew Shuttleworth to Cadet Chief Petty Officer
- Zach Fenwick, Archie Hunter and Tom Dodd to Cadet Colour Sergeant
- Sam Smith, Joe Cox and Will Toosey to Cadet Corporal
- Ollie Leat and Tessa Marley to Cadet Colour Sergeant
Lt Gen Sir Gary Coward KBE CB attended in his capacity as a Governor and former parent and kindly presented the rank slides to those promoted.
Many thanks to all those who contributed to making this such a memorable evening for our cadets and in particular Sub Lieutenant Jo Toy for his superb organisation of a very memorable evening.
