Rupert left Canford in 2017. During his time at the school he was a day pupil in Salisbury. Rupert enjoyed outdoor pursuits, including DofE, rowing and cross country. In this film Rupert talks about the many valuable opportunities he had to be pushed outside his comfort zone, whilst still being supported along the way, how his communication skills developed and how the network he has built through the Old Canfordian community helped him during his time at school and now whilst he navigates his career. Since leaving Canford Rupert studied Psychology, focusing on Socio Cognitive Neuroscience, at Durham University. He taught Biology, Psychology and Environmental Science, including being a Deputy Housemaster at Bryanston School, travelled and at the time of filming Rupert was working as a Parliamentary Assistant for MP and Secretary of State for Defence, The Rt Hon Grant Shapps.
