Sixth Form Leadership
In the Sixth Form we encourage you to further develop your leadership skills, organising and running activities for yourselves and for younger pupils.
This might include organising and running successful fund-raising events for charity, either house based or whole school, or taking the lead in some of the larger Community Action projects such as the teenage City Reach programme in Southampton. The door is never closed to new ideas. There are many enterprises you can get involved in, such as the CCF - Army/Navy/Marines, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme and Partnership Trips to India, Ghana and Argentina.
There will also be the opportunity to take the lead on committees both within house and school wide. For example, the Food Committee meets regularly with Sixth Formers collating and representing pupil feedback and suggestions for improvement. In your final year, there is the chance to become a school or house prefect, to become captain of senior team sports and to take the lead within the numerous enrichment societies on offer.
In the Sixth Form you will have more freedom to make your own choices, more independence and the opportunity to become a leader both among your peers and in the wider world.
