Other MFL Staff

Richard Wilson is Head of German and also teaches French and EFL. In addition, he is Head of Other Languages and the IELTS Coordinator. Before Canford, he taught French and German at Kelly College and then French, German and EFL at Haileybury College, where he was also the International Students Officer, Head of EFL and Master i/c Squash. He is a qualified Squash Coach, is passionate about rock music, European cinema and has lived and travelled extensively overseas.

Tzu-Ling is a native-speaker of Chinese and joined Canford in 2006. She teaches Chinese off-timetable to non-native speakers and prepares native-speakers and bilingual pupils for the IGCSE and A-level examinations. She was educated in Taiwan and continued her higher education in the UK. She then started teaching Chinese as Second Language (TCSL) in 2004. Tzu-Ling is involved in Modern Languages and International Society events and has also taught Chinese language and culture as part of the Community Service and Activities programme, with Chinese calligraphy, Tai Chi and Chinese tea art and culture being particular favourites.
