Years 9 - 11

The Lower School is for pupils in Years 9-11.   The majority of pupils join us in the Shells (Year 9) and spend their first year getting used to senior school life, academically, in co-curricular activities and settling into life in House with supportive pastoral care.   In Year 10 pupils begin their two year GCSE courses, selecting subject options alongside the compulsory English, Maths and a Modern Language and non-examined Philosophy, Ethics and Spirituality.

Beyond the exam curriculum, enriching programmes such as the Shell Carousel and Fourth and Fifth Form Enterprises offer a vast range of opportunities for pupils to explore their interests, develop their talents and grow through their pursuit of excellence in all that they do.
