Squash

Squash continues to grow in popularity with over 40 pupils involved over the autumn and winter terms. The complex boasts four excellent squash courts and gives pupils the unique opportunity to play one of only 44 real tennis courts in the world, which was built in 1879.

The courts are actively used by both Canford pupils and outside club members. Every pupil is given the chance to experience squash and real tennis in their first year carousel sessions, they can then choose to play recreationally, through the activities programme or select squash as their main games option. Individual lessons are also available.

There are competitive school fixtures throughout the first two terms against Bryanston, Clayesmore and Sherborne; as well as an internal squash ladder and junior/senior house competitions.
