Careers Planning and Outcomes

Everything we do at Canford is aimed at preparing pupils for their life when they leave the school, imbuing them with skills and knowledge as well as values and beliefs in order for them to lead fulfilling lives in whatever they decide to do. A key role of the school in general and the Careers and Higher Education department in particular, is in helping pupils identify their motivations, strengths and areas for development and providing information, advice and support as they try to identify the right options and the best direction they might take after Sixth Form. We aim to help them develop and recognise their non-academic as well as academic skills and enable them to demonstrate them from a variety of activities they will inevitably become involved with while at school and then help them access opportunities to put these attributes into practice.

Below are just some of the many ways we support Canfordians in preparing and planning for life beyond school.
