Canford is located in Dorset, in the South of England, conveniently placed centrally in the region and as a result accessible from both the South East and London and also from the South West. The campus sits alongside the beautiful River Stour, with easy access to footpaths to neighbouring town, Wimborne, and trailways providing off-road routes to parks and beaches. The schools is minutes from the Jurassic Coast, with its miles of coastline and second largest natural harbour in the world, along with stunning countryside and New Forest National Park. Canford is easily accessible from both the South East and London and also the South West. The school is well served by rail, air and road links for international families, or those living slightly further afield. It is under two hours from London, Oxford and Exeter, 90 minutes from the M3/M25 junction and easy reach of London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Bournemouth, Exeter and Southampton airports. Within the grounds are a boathouse, sports centre, including a 25 metre pool and modern gym facilities, outdoor education centre, climbing wall, 12 grass sports pitches, 2 full sized all weather pitches, 30 tennis courts, a 9 hole golf course and one of the few original Real Tennis courts in the country. The arts benefit from The Layard Theatre, seating nearly 300, the Music School, seating nearly 200, and there is a dedicated Coldstream Gallery space regularly exhibiting the latest pupil and staff art.  Canford School is set within 260 acres of grounds which include beautiful trees and parkland, including a nationally recognised Arboretum.
